Hill everyone!
I just found one book that talk about Ford Escort. Maybe some of you know..but for the other and since I never found a post that mention that book...
I don't know where to find it in the US but here in Canada, you can find it a Canadien Tire.
It's called Haynes Repair Manuel: Based on a comlete teardown and rebuild.
They do a lot of book about car and all brand..but I found one for Ford Escort & Mercury Tracer 1991 thru 2000
The book say all about the car and how to do it. A very good book with a lot of picture and explanation. Very easy to understand!!!
Here the information of the book to find it or command it:
Haynes 36020: ISBN 1 56392 392 0
go on http://isbn.nu to find it :p

Thanks, System. Any Do It Yourself-er should definitely be familiar with this book and/or the Chilton Manual; it is a time and money saver. (I prefer the Chilton manual but both are pretty good.)

After doing all the work on my car and having that book, I think its pretty well garbage :x . It's so horribly incomplete. They miss so many things that would make the jobs easier, it's awful. Just read the section on removing the dash, then try and take yours out. Not so easy according to thier instructions. Want to clean or change you injectors. According to the manual you have to remove the whole intake. HUGE job considering that I can take mine out and have them back in within 2 hours without going through all that work. I could go on for a while 8O

The only remotely good thing about the book is the torque specs and the engine codes.

Just my two cents.

Bah..to change little thing and understand how your scort work...that good is good for that...but not really for swapping engine! It can save you a couple of buck on simple thing like changing the oil...changing all the filter and give you a basic idea on how to remove all the thing...but..if you go in something very difficult..I agree..that book isn't good for that!
But like a newbie like my in car...it's useful!
