Nice name ther Nate. Was your woman around when you singned up, or do you love her that much? Anyway, back to your questions. As far as the intake goes, I have an 89 GT so I had to custom make mine. As far as your car goes, I´m not sure what all is involved. But the exahust I can help you out with. Anyone who says a loss in backpressure will make you lose horse power is smoking some good stuff. The less back pressure the better. Where the loss comes from is exhaust velosity. That´s why 3 inch pipe on a naturaly asperated scort will make it suck. As far as mufflers go, don´t go buying one of those huge ass $300 chrome mufflers, unless you have mony to waste. Most of them ar no better than a $14 cherry bomb. Also make sure the shop you go to has a mandrel bender. if they crimp bend your pipes you might as well keep your old exhaust. Another thing to consider is it will be pointless to free up the back end of your exhaust if you can´t get anymore exhaust out of the engine. So your best bet would be to get the header first. As far as brands go, I know a lot of guys swear by Pacesetter, but I have heard a lot of bad things about them, and I have read a really bad article about them on www.escortfocus.com.
