i wasn't at this particular event, the QCMA (Queen City Motorsports Assoc.) moves their events to Tuesday nights and it's a heck of a lot harder to attend than Sunday mornings. but regardless, i think this was either from yesterday or the week before, at Regina, SK, Canada's local oval track, KingsPark Speedway:

PLEASE RIGHT CLICK YOUR MOUSE AND SELECT "SAVE AS"!! it will be much easier on the server.

http://www.qcma.org/video/door.WMV < damn cool... and who ever said King's Park is bumpy should watch that...
http://www.qcma.org/video/front.WMV camera mounted to bottom of the nose
http://www.qcma.org/video/roof.WMV the top of windshield

i think the car the cam's mounted on is the Horange that i've mentioned before, the Dodge Horizon completely painted a gaudy orage (on purpose), with i don't know for sure what engine pushing 30psi on the turbo boost. it mighta been another one, but i wasn't there, i'm just assuming. the Hor is just so amusing though!

This reminds me, I built myself a camera mount on Sunday. Spent $20 at Lowes Hardware. It's pretty simple, but so far it seems to work well. I just need to convice the guys at tech that it's sturdy :p I'll take some pics soon.

I did a similar thing for my wagon too! I just got some 1" square aluminum tubing, some threaded rod, some small round aluminum tubing, and the top of a really cheap tripod... I think it cost me 30 bucks total (18 of it being the cheap walmart tripod ;) )

here's how I mounted it to the car (click to enlarge)

and here's how It looks from further back:

and here's what the video looks like from it. PLEASE right-click / download, don't stream it, as the server doesn't really like streaming so much.... (.wmv format, just over 6 MB)
Gingerman Raceway Turn 11

I don't mean at all to hijack the thread, but it was really cool seeing another wagon doing autocross with an in-car camera mount!

It was your design I copied! Sorry I didn't give you credit before.. I saw it several weeks before on ERDT and then forgot who's design it was. Then I woke up that morning and said to myself, "Must have camera mount" and went to the hardware store and copied you. (Holy Run-on Sentence Batman!

Very nice video! Gotta love the sound of the 1.9L motor :D
