When i had that muffler on the car the rest of the exhaust was still entirely stock. It sounded nice and had a smooth tone and was fairly deep, the 2.0 SPI motors seem to have a nice deep sound to them even for their small size. Right now i have my exhaust exiting right behind the passenger side front tire
Was that muffler really load and/or ricey? because the last thing I need is douchebag ricers wanting to race me all the time...I HAVE AN STOCK AUTO ESCORT, NO I WILL NOT RACE YOU, not until I'm turbo'ed or have a better car at least. I just want something nice sounding. A video would be cool too if you have one.
the reason why most honda's r so loud is becuase people put 2.5 inch exhaust pipe on with a fart can muffler without a resonator and sometimes no cat. the BP motors too can get that raspy buzz sound from the exhuast because like honda's they also have a 16 valve engine. our sohc have 8 so it won't be as loud an raspy. at least that's the way i see it.
Many Honda owners and ricers buy the muffler from a looks standpoint and not by performance or tone. Granted many pretty mufflers do perform well, but don't match the engine installed with. One could only hope they are dissatisfied by the sound and just don't do anything about it. Seeing as they already dropped $150+ for a carbon fiber wrapper muffler...
ive seen the dumbest looking mufflers on ebay and in canadian tire catalogs. and the funny part is when i seen them, theyre more like $40 for the rice mufflers. they must know dumb kids dont have allot of money hehe
Some of the new toys awaiting spring time. Bored atm and felt like posting pictures.

Mustang Cobra MAF next to stock spi maf. A little bigger..
mah turbo and manifold. mani is not quite done yet and will be airbrushed using high temp paint before install it on the car. Ill be testing out some paint from a small "private" business i guess you'd call it which is supposed to be able to hold up to heat greater than my engine can. The compressor housing will be polished soon. Started as just a 1/2" plate of fresh cut steel
And my bracket to move the alternator ahead a little bit so my manifold doesnt rub on it.
Within the next week or so ill be fiberglassing a 3 gauge pod setup for the a-pillar. Still a bunch of stuff i need to buy but im kinda running out of room to keep it since i cant do anything until spring time. I swear if we get another big snow storm that drops 2 feet im packing my bags and heading south
