I don't see how, 1.8 < 2.5, 4cyl vs higher revving 6cyl. With same compression and boost amount, the 2.5 V6 will produce more power due to basic math/science.

But because they both use a G-series tranny which only holds around 300hp you are still limited because basic math/science.

Not really. I have the plate mod done on my other g series trans, so with that and the mfactory gears and lsd I'm good to about 500 something.

Project hit a snag hut now back on. Located a shell! But it's not a ford escort. It's a 89 Mazda 323. 104k clean bad motor manual trans and no options. Car is around 2100 lbs or so. Mm mm hope to pick up this coming Sunday!

I know what the plate mod is and lets just say I'll believe it will handle 500HP it when I actually see it. The shafts will still bow apart and gears will strip under power. You would need another plate and bearing in the middle of the shafts to stop them from spreading apart before it will handle 500 HP.

The mfactory gearset is at a lesser angle then factory. So the shafts won't be pushed apart as harsh as the factory tooth profile, plus they have thicker teeth. I'll be glad to show you the 500hp+ when I get there, for this year it will only have around 300hp on a base tune while I work on my other klg4 engine over the winter, the one that will get internals.

Even if I give up it will have around 320hp if tuned, on a measly 8psi, with that low end torque drivability of a 6cyl. There are devices like boost by gear (or speed) to control what I put down, so traction isn't really an issue. I'm sure 500hp is just a dyno queen number until after 100mph when it will be useful.

Sourced the parts I will need to convert from a cable transmission to a hydraulic clutch transmission you need to use a master cylinder from in 89 323 GTX and the slave off of at least in my case a 97 Probe GT I will have to go to my local Napa to have a line made up connecting the two I was able to source all the parts on rock auto.com for less than 50 bucks shipped

Make sure you have a flexible rubber section on top of your trans, the engine moves around quite a bit under shifts, a straight hard line from the clutch master to clutch slave will bend too many times and break.

title should be 1991 to 1995.

    1990 was still first Generation.

I have seen a KLZE in in 1995 Escort it was super fast faster then my V6 3.0L
but My V6 3.0L is still going strong and his is not.

Highly Friendly reminder, When posting images to feoa, Imgur would be our preferered host for images, Photobucket and others are issues on mobile and certain browsers.

Not only that but there is no grantee that the site make go awal and the photos be lost.
Nothing worse then having a grate project and losing the photos. Seen that a few times online.

After losing TeamZX2.com it doesn't phase me, I had EVERYTHING on there. Now I put pics on photobucket or store them on my computer where it's safe. If there was another site that wasn't a Nazi for storing photos and allowing image hosting for no charge I'll take a look at it, I've tried 50megs and photobucket, both which are still active. Here is a new photo from yesterday, just finished a plastidip job, attaching it to here directly.

good point, but that hardly ever happens with forums. its more likely that the image host goes off line or removes your photos.

Nice paint job by the way
