bought an escort for a daily, has 92k on the car. though I am noticing some small issues I can't pinpoint. Rear driver and passenger windows do not go down from driver side arm rest or rear buttons. Checked the fuses all pulled and non are blown. Curious to know if this is a window motor or switch issue? Also, at times the motor tends to shake the whole car, which leads me to believe it could have something to do with a harmonic balancer (or balance rod that keeps it from shaking when the pistons fire). Motor makes a slight knock near the timing cover (haven't removed it yet) but it does get louder the higher the rpm. Transmission all seems a bit sharp at times, smoother in the higher gears. overall car still drives good, just want to get what is needed to keep it for a couple years.

Probably the window motors are out. I had my pass. rear go out last year. No biggie. These cars are know to shake a little due to poor motor mount location. Check your motor mounts to see if they're broken, it's a common issue. I'd check that timing belt and tensioner since you hear noises coming from it. At 92K it's due for a replacement if not already done so.
