Just got done replacing pistons, bearings, and head on my 1.9 5spd and now there is a problem with the motor. I have kept the motor bone stock, no aftermarket at all.

I start the cold engine with tranny in neutral. The motor starts right up and then idles great. When I go down the road for a few miles it runs great.

When the motor warms up to operating temps, the motor wants to die in between shifts and at stop lights when the clutch is pressed in. The only way to keep the engine running is to stay on the accelerator or shift as quick as possible. When the motor does stall, the motor cranks for 10-20 seconds before it starts.

I have no codes, checked my vaccume lines and found no cracks. |I have just replaced the mass air flow sensor. Any ideas?

First look around for vacuum leaks, dont forget about the EGR valve.

Just start the car, unplug the IAC valve, if the car than stall's it's working.
If you unplug the IAC valve and nothinig changes than it's not working.
