ok i had a old thread about my lil bro escort and after replacing just about everything we still having problem and this one has be stumped!!!

ok i might be just overthinking but heres whats its doing and i open to opinions....

you fire the car up and it sounds great idles great revs great everythings is just great!!! after it warms up "goes into open loop" the dang thing jumps to 2000 rpm idle and when you go to rev it anything past 3500 it sounds like a pop corn marker!

ok we have changed.....vaf.....throttle body....redid fuel pump and wired it direct....changed disty...did a tuneup.....fpr......ignition module.....coil.....fuel filter....checked for vacume leak......changed coolent temp sensor.......check o2.......cleaned out the iac... and im sure more but cant remember

so if anyone has any idea i would be greatful before we just chop the car up lol

i beleive there are 2 relays on the passenger side firewall. If i remeber correctly, one of them controls voltage to the ecm/ fuel pump. an over heated relay can cause a low supply voltage issue. Also, check the grounds, especially the one on the drivers side of the head under the dizzy. Your issue sounds like an ignition problem. I'm assuming the cat is not still on the car.
