Will a alternator from a 1994 work on a 1993?

i heard it has different connectors but i'm not sure. it's possible that it will work.

Wrong. The alternators were all the same throughout the 2nd gen, even on the '96 OBDII cars.

yea i think nezwick is rite..i did pull out a nice rebuild alternator from a bone yard escort i think was 93-95

I went to the store today and the 2 years DO have different part numbers. 93 alt needs to put out 95 amps, 94 alt needs to put outonly 75. I had my alt from my 94 tested and it passed, then tested again as a 93 and it failed. I guess i answered my own question. Thanks guys
