I would pimp it... It may be a production conversion, ford has been known to sorce things like that out over the years..

You guys did look at the engine bay, right? I have no idea what's going on there. But certainly the "production" statement is questionable.

Ya, it looked like a sub box...the power of vibration might inch you along...but seriously, whoever falls for that deserves the shitbox they get.

Definately not a Ford original Creation, but interesting none the less. Buddy probably just mounted a huge DC motor to a stock 5 spd. Not hard to do at all, but very expensive. As for everybody who's bashing the brakes and the AC, how hard is it to mount a pulley to a motor? Not hard at all. Belt for A/C, pick up a vacuum pump from any diesel equipped vehicle to run the brakes and you're off to the races. It would pick up like mad. DC motors have awsomely flat torque curves.

Well, it's probably cause it's quite an easy car to work on, and if you mess it up, it's nice and cheap to get parts for! Plus there are a lot around.

we need someone to look around in the cavalier section of ebaymotors to see what random crap people do to them would be. perhaps one with a flux capacitor would suffice?
