Uh. Now this is confusing. If you just remove the amp, it's behind the center console. You're left with plugs that will go into the stock head unit. go to walmart and buy a harness adapter so you don't have to cut into the stock wiring.
I have the harness adapter.... i only need to splice into ground, power, and remote from the harness adapter. I'm not running the speakers off the head unit.
I'm running the head unit off the ground, power, and remote. Then running RCAs to the Kenwood amp. Then i wanted to splice into the harness going FROM the stock amp (which will be removed) to the front speakers.
Then when i re-do the door panels with the new color scheme, i'd re-run some higher gauge wire. I don't feel like messing with door panels or spade connectors today. I've already got the new speakers installed, and it wasn't all that fun.
So basically, it's a REALLY simple setup.
From factory harness into back of radio, splice power, ground, and remote into the new Kenwood HU with the conversion harness. From the kenwood, run rcas to the kenwood amp. From the kenwood amp, splice into the 4 existing front speaker wires.
So i still need the colors for those 7 wires:
Power
Ground
Remote
Right pos
Right neg
Left pos
Left neg
I can't seem to find them online, and tracing them means taking off the door panels anyways.
