My oil came squirtin out i dunno wtf it was, but i didnt smell no rubber or nuttin, and my headgasket isnt leakin i dunno wtf it is im prayin it just wants a oil change. came squirtin out while im going uphill went to shift from neutal to 3rd cuz i was coastin and it wouldnt go , n oil came squirtin out i dunno wat happend. I shut it off for 5 minutes went to start it up n it started . but i put in 1st went to take off n it just reved high like it was in neautral and rolled backwards. The puddle of oil was 4 feet long about, and it wasn't drippin at all(it just splat there before i noticed it), it was really thick in that area of 4 feet , when i pushed it down the hill to a parkin lot it didnt drip at all. I lifted the hood and it was pipin hot. The headgasket wasnt drippin oil or nothing. I think the freeze plug blew maybe. this sucks, my 2nd day driving the thing to. ANy comments? do you think ya might know what is wrong? P.s. I smelt around the car, there is no rubber burnin smell or ne thing like that. also the fukin battery light was comein a couple times, and my headlight shut off on me for a bit i had to hit the high beam and hit the high beam agai to get it on, i dont know wtf the problem is maybe battery related? maybe not enuff juice gettin to engine to cool it down or something? think that could be a possible problem? maybe it wasnt gettin enuff juice to cool engine down. i got a 89 escort gt by the way . 1.9 ho 153k on it. my pops gonna check it tomorrow hes a mechanic but just wanted to know what yall thought. peace thanks one

alright we checked it out, the power steering fluid is what i thought was oil. The tranny is dead, something is broke inside. I am convertin it to a automatic this week, only going to cost me 300 bucks. I was going to put another standard tranny in it, but i am still kinda new at standard driving, so im not going to set myself up for buyin a new clutch n payin more then the car is worth itself. so far i have spent 500 dollars on the car, 300 to buy it, and 200 for tailight and other interior parts and floor redone work n tire switched n etc. So im going to have paid 800 total after the tranny is converted n everything. thats 800 bucks, kbb says its worth $785. The motor is running strong. I am going to put my new battery in before i drive it again. Cuz the fan shouldve turned on, gonna have to check some shit out before i drive it again , but i think the lights n fan was directed towards the battery light comein on n etc. So automatic tranny, shifter column n the different axel i am gettin for it to be converted. my dad said that the standard and automatic axle is different. Oh well, if i have anymore problems there will be a 89 escort gt for sale! :( i was having fun with the stick to. lol

well now i gotta see if i can even get a auto tranny for it, so far they havent been able to find a 89 gt 1.9 ho with a automatic transmission in 2 different junkyards. they still searchin, lots n lots of 86-89 exorts they got. So i might keep stick, if i do im buyin new clutch with the lifetime gurrante at autozone, and gonna take it easy driving it. n gonna put a toggle switch in for my fan if it has problems comein on again.

first trash the car obviously it's tired of moving and a tired scort is not for broke people or people who don't want to spend the money, as for the tranny if you want to keep it stick to the stick, the oem design for the clutch is very strong, I have tought more than 10 people how to drive stick with my 90 scort lx with factory cluth at 220000 miles on it 265000 mi. now and still crunching gears just fine also the stick is much cheaper to service and half as often, ask your dad he will tell you all about the JACK MOVE to service an automatic and (brain fart) lee moving parts less shyte to break on you
some times stick can get you better gas mileage (not moving the tourqe converter)

well now, we dont think its the tranny, the clutch pedal was real soft before, what we think happend is it burnt out completely. We are going to take it all apart tomorrow and get the flywheel resurfaced or get one from the junkyard if its beyound resurfacing possibility. I got my clutch kit for 89 dollars, brand new, with lifetime warranty, anything at all goes wrongi bring it back n get a brand new one for free. My dad thought of it today thats its prolly the clutch because when we went for a ride before it fuked up it wasnt messin up at all. N when he towed it , he didnt hear no noises and etc from the tranny. we figured the reason we never smelt the clutch burnin out is because it was already burnt out and i just totally finished it or something. im keepin standard, hopefully the tranny aint damaged at all.

one ghetto way to find out is pull E-brake (car off) start like normal put in 2nd gear (clutch in) and drop the clutch. if the car shows anything over 1/4 sec. of trying to go before it dies replace th throw out bearing.
BTW: the automatic never came in the HO motor but remember same block so auto would fit just fine the problem would be finding a ECU to work with HO and Auto!
