I replaced the clutch in my 88 escort gt. It releases further from the floor than I’d like. How can I get it to release closer to the floor? Is there an adjustment? Thanks

A new clutch is obviously not going to engage like a old worn one will.
Id leave it be. But you may be able to adjust the clutch cable to move it around? Id wait until others chime in to make sure that is not a bad idea.

Yes, I tried pull the pedal up but I’m thinking there should be a way to adjust it though. Not sure.
