    Hello all,
    I recently purchased an 86, 1.9 2bbl, and have a few questions.

The original choke heater harness had burnt and is gone. I'm looking for the 2 wire plug that goes in the choke heater, if anyone has a part #, or has one for sale. Seems to be specific to this year, older ones in the salvage lots just have one wire.

Also found a mid 90's Escort with what I call the GT rims, looks similar to the rims the late 80's GT's would have. They're 14", would they be the same bolt pattern as my el cheapo 86 Escort L?

    Thanks!

Hello back ,, I don't think the 2nd gen Escort wheel pattern will fit the 1st gen Escorts , 1990 and lower models are the same ,, 1991 and up are different I think ,, but maybe someone else can post in and tell you more . ,also try and post a picture of the wire plug setup you need . might help others in finding you one . ,,take care

I'm pretty sure you are correct that the second generation wheel bolt pattern is different.

Yes can confirm 81-90 are 4x108mm and 91-03 are 4x100mm. Fox body mustangs also use a 4x108 pattern which is what you need. The offset for mustang's is a bit different and as such your wheels will stick out farther than stock if you use mustang wheels, but they look sick anyway.

I think even the ford pinto used 4x108.

I suppose the second generation went to the 100mm metric spacing since the cars were Mazda based, whereas the Mustangs retained the American Fox chassis, and thus the 4-1/4" spacing.
