I just installed a new head unit in my 1999 se and used the aftermarket wiring harness. Now when driving or idling the radio turns on and off by itself almost like there is a lose connection, when this happens its almost like I hear a relay clicking on and off in the dash around the cluster area. Any idea what this could be?

I would take the stereo/kit out and check over the wiring and make sure nothing is pinched or loose. I can't recall ever having that specific issue with any of the installs I did.

unhook the radio and see if the condition changes.

it might be a loose connection especially if you used crimp connectors. The radio power is fused so you wont hear clicking as you would with a circuit breaker
