About a month or two ago, my cruise control disengaged when I hit a significant bump (a bridge approach). I hit resume, but when I went over another bridge, cruise disengaged when I hit another bump. Now, cruise control is very intermittent, sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. What is causing this? Easy fix?

this is an easy fix. If the problem happens on bumps and other things of that sort then the problem stems from the rubber bumpers which the cruise plunger switch rests on when the brake is not being used. 3rd gen rubber bumpers are blue in color. It sounds like yours is either missing or really worn down. Just stick your head under there and look at where the brake light switch is. You really can't miss their location once you are looking there. You should also be able to readily identify whether or not the bumpers are present
