Looking for a 91-95 windshield wiper stalk with the variable intermittent (the little ring you can turn to set the delay) function. I don't need one from a wagon since I've got a sedan. If you've got one of these and want to make a few bucks post here. The newer looking the better!

I possibly can do it but I would have to take the steering wheel off right? Not sure about how to remove it.

I know you can separate the stalk from the rest of the column, but i'm not sure if the steering wheel needs to be pulled to do so. I'm going to check out what the service manual says over the weekend.

I will be interested in how this turns out, since one of the minor annoyances with my early Escorts (a 91 sedan and a 9 wagon) is the lack of the variable interval wipers on long drives.
I know the wagon and sedan wiper stalks are different, and I know that over the years there were variations to the combined & expensive 'mult-function switch'.

According to the guide you do need to pull the steering wheel, but that is to remove the whole headlight +wiper stalk assembly. I know you can separate them since they sell just the wiper stalk, but I don't know if you still need to pull the steering wheel to do so.

Based on some other posts i'm going to check the relay first before I make someone pull their steering wheel.
