Most people use the canadian escort or protege as the donor for a manual seat belt setup. I however used a later MX3 that had manual belts, but had to modify quite a bit to make them work. They are in and I love it now, but there were a few points where it really sucked. I'll snap some pics later tonight, and I *may* do a writeup.
I bought a used canadian set from someone on FEOA. Worked out fine but you may need to tap threads for the top of the belt. Also, you should keep the original plastics because with the canadian belt package in our cars some roof will show through. Just be careful with the A-pillar too. Mine got glued into the windshield, I ended up cracking my windshield and had to get a new one. Good luck with it.
