    Actually, that's the MRT Interceptor.
(which you could have figured out simply by going to the page that you linked to)

I went for a drive the other night to a town I rarely visit, just for the ride in my 'new' car. As I passed the Ford dealership there, I saw 3 new vehicles that I'd never seen before -in person. So, naturally, I pulled a U-ey and went into the lot. :D

First off.. we have the Ford Fivehundred. Man.. looks boring in the pictures.. isn't exactly inspiring in person, but damn.. it's huge. Okay.. it's not really huge, but it's so tall. They're going to make a mint off of those cars. This one had AWD, CVT, 3.0 Duratec and leather. First thing I thought upon looking at the pricetag was, "this thing is going to hurt Subaru Legacy sales". I'm impressed. Ford built the right car for the right market.

Next we have the Freestyle. Interior looks nice.. the exterior looks OK.. It's a nice SUV/Wagon for a normal sized family. I'm sure they'll sell a ton of them.

Lastly.. there was a white Mustang GT. As some of you know.. I'm no big fan of the Mustang. If someone were to ask me about them, I'd tell them that they're not good real-world cars. The weight balance is too far forward for balance handling, the chassis is older then our space program, and the solid rear axle is an ancient device that's suited to propelling a delivery truck.
    ... until now.

I gawked at the new car. It was actually *gulp* attractive. The hood has just enough of a bulge in it to make you aware that there's some heavyweight machinery under there. The roof is low and menacing. The front wheels are actually at the front of the vehicle, where they belong... and the wheels themselves are VERY nicely designed.

I'd heard a few people mention that they'd seen the new Mustang at car shows and dealerships, and some of them said the styling wasn't very good in person. Whenever I hear something like that about a car I've only seen in pictures, I'm more than happy to take their criticism with enthusiasm... so I was a little worried that this mustang would look no better than the previous versions. Wow, I was so wrong. 10 minutes of walking circles around this GT and I was wishing I had one. I've nearly forgotten about the live axle. That much testosterone on 4 wheels will make you forget lots of things.

Very nice, Birddog. Very, very nice.

Man, you should move to my town.... on a daily basis, I see at least 10 of each of those cars... and on my way to school, I see a different Ford GT everyday. I live, basically right in the middle of all of the Ford buildings. Actually there is a huge complex right behind my house. And right behind that is the proving grounds. Which they are working on at the time being. If I drive down the road about 2 miles, I can just sit and stare at what USED to be the Mustang plant, but is now producing the new F-150s. Then on my way out to school, I can drive by where they make the Navigators and Expeditions. Michigan, is definitely the place to be dude. I should keep my camera on me, and just take pictures of all the cars I see everyday. Have you seen those new Mercury's? The Escape sized one? It's a neat little vehicle. Check it out. I can't remember the name of it... is it, the Mariner???? I think that's it. Anyways, yeah... if you want to see some PHAT cars, new or just riced/pimped, you gotta be in the motor city..... or just in Cali. Has anybody gotten to see any of those new Dodge Magnums in person? WOW those cars are getting played out real fast.... it seems like everywhere I go, I see at least 4 on my way there.... and they all apparently HAVE to have at least 22 inch rims. Chrysler 300? Nope. It's more like the Chrysler 300-26's.... the other day, I saw a Hummer H2, that literally.... had 26 inch rims on it. What is the world coming to, where we have to have rims that weigh more than the car to impress everybody else????

My girlfriend and I went to the Ford dealer the second they got the first 05 Stang in. The had just took it of the truck and hadn't even had time to wash it and we were like we want to take it for a drive. I was a very happy camper. I was taking twisties at 60 with plenty of grip to spare. I use to take these turn in the scort at 50 but always felt like 51 might just end me up in a ditch. I stalled it twice because the clutch is super touchy. Wanted so bad to light up the rear, but didn't think the sales guy crammed in the back seat would appreciate it. My girlfriend was sold as soon as we walked up to it. She is planning on trading in her 02 Stang for one. We are waiting till they get a V6 in to see how they feel. She is thinking she wants a v6, but she is not opposed to having a v8. We shall see what happens. My credit sucks ass, so I will have to live vicariously through hers. I want my own sooo bad.
