I have a 2001 zx2 with 80-k. Had car since new with very little problems. lately while driving the car it shutoff all by in self and wont start. engine cranks but fails to start. check for spark and I hear the fuel pump run for a short time and stops. I tow the car home and I check the coil pack and its show good, I check the pressure at the pump and its 34-psi. try to start the car and it does. let car run for 1-hr in driveway with no problems. dealer tells me its a bad pump or coil pak any ideas.

If I were you I'd check the ECU for codes. That might get you closer to the problem.

when it shuts off, does it just cut off or does it sputter?

just quit. I used car today and it ran fine, but still leary about it shutting down.

have you ever replaced the fuel filter?

yes about 3-weeks ago. and i have 60 psi at injecters
