Hey guys so I have a quick question I just got a 2001 Ford escort and I want to replace the rear bumper cover because it has a giant crack in it. I was wondering since it is a 3rd generation escort can I use a rear bumper cover from another third generation escort? So can I use a rear bumper cover from a '97 '98 '99 or 2000 Ford escort? If so it would save me some money by just going to a scrap yard and getting one. Thanks for any responses.

Yes, if you have a sedan any rear bumper from 97-02 will work. If you have a coupe (zx2) any rear bumper from 98-03 will work. If you have a wagon, any rear bumper from 97-99 will work.

If you find any rear bumper covers for your car in a junkyard, I would be curios if you find them that are intact and not damaged by years of sunlight. The last time I checked (at O'Reilly's & junkyards, etc) no one had new ones for the 2nd gen. wagons. I own three 2nd gen wagons, each of which has rear bumper damage; including from just kneeling on it, or from my arm, from leaning on them. .
