alright, this is going out to you engine swap gurus out there....
my predicament......
i have a 86 gt, losts of new parts, everything possible has been replaced, and nothing has worked....
i´m looking to do an engine swap....
now, i´m 17, and have 2...2000$$ options....1,
find a new/rebuilt 86 engine...and transplant....
or buy a new car...
i would love to keep this scort going, but i don´t really want to drop more than another grand into it....
would it be sufficent to just swap another engine into it? my current engine has the following: new cyl. head, new gaskets all around, new ignition module, cap rotor, plugs, wires, coil, clutch, tires, brakes, exhaust, battery, and some other misc parts.....
i basically could find another escort engine, and swap my brand new parts to a new engine, but, this wouldn´t really give me a clear cut answer to the car actually running.....
i´m lost on what to do......
i´m taking every suggestion...this car is just to good to junk....alot of sweat and money was put into it, and i hate to see her go...but it needs to be done....
anyone looking for a cheap project? i dunno, suggestions guys?
