Heres my Murdered Out 87 GT
This was my 1987 escort Gt. All black not emblems. 1.9l 5 Speed. power seatbelts. Alpine Stereo. Grey cloth interior less than 30k miles when I got it in 1991. I think the 86 87 was the best looking model closest to the mustang at that time. I wish they would re do this model and get rid of those wussy ZX2s. These cars looked tuff and sporty before alot of cars had ground effects.
Heres some pics of my hot hatch....
What kind of wheels are those?
There called 'AZEV'...these are Type A (circa 1986)
This is my Escort in its original condition when I bought it for three hundred dollars.
I added some color to the engine bay.
The next thing done was getting rid of the old, broken fog lights. The previous owners never even finished the fog light set-up. I installed some new fog lights that I bought at Walmart. In my opinion, the new rectangular fog lights look better than the old round fog lights. The sad thing is that the new fog lights are actually twice as bright as the headlights, even after the headlight lenses were restored.
The latest change that I made was getting rid of the old, worn-out paint job (see the picture at the top of the page), and apply a rattle-can primer look. I still need to primer the bottom air dam. Not exactly professional, but it's still an improvement.
Somebody needs to try putting some GT trim on a 4 door like that. I'm not sure the sideskirts would fit, but I bet it would look awesome.
I have too much time on my hands.
If you paint it black out all the side window trim. I bet it would look good.
Escort for Rallycross
I have been preparing this 1984 Ford Escort "Black Bush" for rallycrossing. I got it pretty much set up for it's rallycross debut this Sunday.
