ok, when I was at a bone yard there was a like 89??? I think escort GT with a missing grill, and the engine was 100% intact. what I was thinking was to buy the head with cam. and put it on my 1.9. I am pretty it would work. the only thing I want to know is, will my Intake manifold bolt on?

you will need to replace the intake manifold with the gen1 gt also because of a cooling jacket that runs thru the intake manifold flange. as for direct bolt up i believe it to be the same. your compression may change also for the good or bad i do nto know.

not certain i have not had them side by side to compare. this i know you can't interchange the manifolds to the other head. you will need to keep it the same gen.

if the engine is 100%complete why dont you just swap the whole thing in?

becasue I have a manifold from the 2ed gen, all cleaned and painted, with a 3.8 TB and new TPS, so I was just wondering if it would bolt on, it was just an idea

the 3.8L and the 1.9L ho t/b are the same part number to ford that means they are the same thing. so i say drop it in.

well whan I was at the bone yard, I matched up the two TB's and the 3.8 TB is very different than the 1.9, size and everything else, How car they be the same part number, they are way different, in the size way, and it's a mirror of the 1.9 TB.
