hey guys im new to the site and i ha a question. I have a 1999 escort se auto i got it with a junk tanny so i put another in. When i put it in drive it lag like its got no power. but if i shift from 1st to second itgoes it shiftsbut when i shift up into overdrive it stas in 2nd any ideas what it could be??? thanks

badd VSS and bad 1-2 shift solenoid maybe? is ur fluid at the level it should be and is it red?

tranny was all redone today new filter new fluids.. dumb? is the vss the speed sensor?

there is only 1 VSS and i hope u did not fill the fluid thru that.

no lol i must bethinking of something else there are 2 sensors like nst to the brake caliper bracket it reads the half shafts i thought those were the vss lol

on the rear side of the tranny next to the speedometer cable.

i dont have a speed cable mine is all electronic

hey guys quick ? i bent the prongs on my shift sensor would that maybe be my problem maybe have broken one bending them back???
