This mod was done because the Original Speedometer Speed Sensor, would not come out of the Vehicle, regardless of ever trick posted in this group and on Youtube.
So, I deleted it completely and quickly made this Custom Gauge Cluster to have a working Speedometer again.

The Speedo I used, was for one of my Chinese clone Motorcycles that I never installed. Hence the 80 MPH top speed.
Anyway, so I found a great use for it. I replaced the Speedometer part of my Factory Escort Gauge Cluster with this speedo.

Plans for the future maybe, is to build an entire Gauge Cluster with TACH, FUEL, TEMP, OIL and Battery Gauges. Plus obviously a higher MPG Speedometer.

That's neat, I do have to warn you that I think the law states that a gps speedometer cannot replace a factory installed one. You can use both though. Also apparently some vehicles are as much as 10% off. Always over, never under by law. I read up on this because I want to get a gps too hehe.

Sorry about the sensor not coming out. Have you considered penetrating lube and a air wrench? We had a hell of a time getting my strut bolts removed, even with an air wrench. I'm glad you have a working speedometer though. Have you noticed any shifting problems lately? With the sensor not working right? Or do you have a manual?
