I'm going on 20, seen some shit. but hey to each his own right, whats that saying... one mans trash is another's treasure, you can have ALL of them lol.

Salvage yard pricing doesn't lie, the more it costs the higher the demand. The higher the demand, the higher the failure rate. Duratec I4 and V6 motors: $500-$1500. Hyundia/Kia 2.4L Theta II : $2500-$3500. GM 2.4L LEA Ecotec : $2500-$3500. Chrysler 3.6L: $1500-$2700. GM 3.6L: $1500-$2500.

the theta 2 engines are so expensive because they all are failing. wrist pins wear out and pistons grenade into the head. class action suit on those as well. most are being bought up by kia/hyu to reman for warranty replacement, jy are making a fortune off of them. i would argue that the dtec engines are so cheap because most of the cars have been crushed lol
