HI. I am a new member. I have an 84 Lynx wagon with low miles, good overall condition. However, I need to replace the tank sender. This is a gas 1.9 engine vehicle. Anyone have one to sell? I would appreciate even getting the correct part number if you have a manual on the car. Thanks!

A belated welcome to the forums. I looked up 84 Lynx at www.rockauto.com, and only saw 1.6L gasoline engines. Unfortunately they didnt show any listing for 'fuel tank senders', like they do for the later cars, like the 2nd gen. Escorts, and the Tracers. If you are sure yours is a 1.9L engine, it may have been swapped. I could only suggest a google search for online suppliers of old FoMoCo/Mercury parts. Also it might be a different sender depending whether your car has a carb, or fuel injected.

I have your same problem. I need a fuel level sender for my 87 Hyundai Excel. Its another car that is old enough that the less common parts have disappeared from suppliers listings.
