Today I ran a 14.743 @ 93.68 mph.
Best 1/8 9.5
Best MPH 94.02

I will post the time slip on monday.

Car:
93 Escort Pony 5sp with a 2.0 SPI swapped in and a EXP turbo running 6psi.

sweet! nice run. im planning (more like hoping) on running high 16's with my pretty much stock lx. lol... wish me luck for wednesday :D . congrats again

If you have a 5 speed and a few mods you should have no problem.

ya its 5 spd, and i have a cherry bomb muffler and i think thats all im going to be able to do this fall. next summer i plan on putting about $600 in performance and hopefully (crossing fingers) being in the 15's. later

15's will take a lot of work to squeeze out of a 1.9. I could only run a 16.3 with a 2.0 SPI, but I had shitty tires too. :?
With N20 or turbo you could do it, or a lot head work.

my vote is for alot of headwork. i put about $1000 into building my 1.9 and i can gaurentee its in the 15s, if i ever find my old slip from Ubly dragway i'll prove it.

theres a race sunday i may go there just to get another 15sec slip..

i was going to say haha... with 212 hp and 260 tq you had better be faster than a high 14 :)

problem with FWD is that the power is all up top.. Racing from a dig only shows inherent traction issues and the 4 bangers disability to make a ton of torque from idle.. Which is why the V8 always will get you out of the hole, but if you have enough HP you can reel them in by the 1/8 Mile..

Jeff, what RPM are you making MAX boost?

lol...You must not of seen my video of me racing that 2003 vett down the 1/4. I had him till about 1/2 way down the track, then he walked me good. That was when I as running 8psi and ran a 14.5, the vett ran a 13.7.

I make max boost at about 3500RPM's with the way I'm set up now, it was about 2500 before. I have no problem with making power down low or having power while I'm launching, just no traction.

you cant say that about all FWD cars. Because i have lanched hard on more then a few RWD cars running around the same times as me. But i do know what you mean by playing catch up. Thats the way i like racing guys is playing catch up. If they lanch on my more offten then not ill reel them in with 2nd gear. unless its a fast ass car.

100% not true.

What do you think a GTP is? A front wheel drive low end monster. They have one of the flattest torque curves of ANY car in the world. Period.

You can light them up through all of 1st if you want, which goes to almost 50 mph.

exactly, traction is a huge issue.. I have wheel hop like whoa.. A GTP is still not the car a GN was because it is FWD. It is honestly in the school of logic you subscribe to.

GTP has nice torque..should have more power for the size of the engine and being supercharged..

as a side note, lighting up the tires through 1st is nothing special, my stock pony running in the 16s with 100hp could do that..

my grandmas crysler concorde can light the tires on fire all thought 1st and catch 2nd gear with the 3.5l and an auto.
