I got looking at a couple 1.9 blocks I got here, and I noticed that one block, in the front where the factory bored out the 3 3/4" hole for the water pump, well they ended up spot facing the front of cylinder 1, on the coolant side. My other block hasn´t been touched, but this one has a very signifigant flat. I need to make a determination and see if the wall thickness is too thin there, or was there a core shift in the casting, and now the opposite side is too thin. Of course this is a block that is already 80% machined, that I was going to use on the blower motor. Has any body else seen this, or looked into it?
