well that depends on how much bewst your running and the stock hp on the gt is 127 (my chishiom says 120, but its 127..) now as far as the hp on a bewested motor.. hum depends how much psu.. say like 12 is safe for your motor. that would plant you at about 140-170hp to the wheels...

OK now for the hard part

What will it take to drop a 1.8L GT engine in to my 93LX that has a 1.9 SEFI engine? I have used the search option and I come up with crap not even relating to it. is it just a direct bolt in? or will I need the tranny and axel?

not worth the swap. you'd have to swap everything from the gt to the lx. it'd be easier to buy a gt and start from there.

as far as boosting it: 14 psi safely on the stock internals. but to extract the full potential of the engine, it'd take a complete rebuilding. bottom end, heads and the block itself.

You could prolly find a 1.8 GTX motor out of a 323 and have 180 hp at the flywheel right off the bat.

well, personally, the gtx is just a turboed 1.8, so i would imagine that the hp would be around 180 as well because with the gtx, its stock. they didnt change the engine until they made the gtr which has 220 hp
The GTX is the 1.8 BPT (same as the BPD8) but the BPT has a compression ratio of either 8.5 or 8.8:1. slight difference, but it makes it much more turbo friendly. The GTR, so I've been told is the Jap spec 1.8 BP engine. which doesn't exist in the states, it had 210 hp stock.

then techniclly ud get more hp. having 9:1 comp would be kinda hard on engine...but running same boost as the stock gtx engine would boast more because if boost is 12 to 12...then look down the line at 8.5 to 9. So i think u'd get more than the 180

i f you jsut slap teh gtx turbo on your gt motor you will not be able to boost more the 4-5 psi with out an injector swap of somesort.
the gtx and gt heads are totally different and the gtR is a even more radical. i have seen the gtx and gt head off the car onteh floor of CorkSport and the ports are different internally.
