hi im looking to bore my 1.8 i zetec to a 2.0 i does anyone have any idea what i should be paying for this to be done and excatly how much work is involved and is it worth the effort.

I´m not sure if i understand what you´re saying. You have a EGT 1.8L and want to bore it out to 2.0? First of all the 1.8L is not a zetec motor those are 2.0L, and the only escort they were in is the zx2. And as far as boring out a 1.8 i don´t think it´s really worth it because there doesn´t seem to be a whole hell of a lot of room.

Across the pond, you can get the Zetec in several displacements, from 1.6 liters and up. Mark has the 1.8 DOHC Zetec, not the 1.8 BP from Mazda that we have in the GT.

I´ve seen somewhere that that it can be done by using a Mazda Miata 2.0 Stroker kit, but they say that because is so much boring, that only a few blocks have the tolerance to do so!

Didnt london actually have the 2.0 "zetec" (just fancy for DOHC)... In like ´95 and ´96...I may be crazy but I swear the Escort Cosworths all had 2.0´s which many of them were called zetec......Ok so this had nothing to do with this topic but I just wondered..

I thought that I read somewhere that most Cosworth´s had inline 6´s??? Anyway they were all wheel drive!(at least all that I´ve seen)
