I have had both a 1989 EGT and a 1992 EGT. The 1992 EGT is much faster then the 1989 ever was. I never for a second missed my '89 GT after I got my '92. And my 1/4 mile runs were at 83 MPH and 16.3 seconds. It was over 17.5 in my '89. A friend had an '86 EGT that he installed a custom cam. He was able to get it down to 16.6 seconds before her got fed up and got a Mustang GT.
