Hey guys how are you doing, I have a 2001 Ford Escort ZX2 I noticed last night when idling the car started to creep towards the hot/H (usually it stays straight up) on the temp gauge while idling. Before this I was doing some highway driving and driving around the town for a little bit but the gauge looked fine as I was driving .I recently replaced the coolant thermostat/ housing an both lower an upper housing sensors. I do know that if you unplug the top connector the fans kick on high. When i am idling in traffic or at a stoplight the fans don't turn on Any ideas?

The relay for the fan is in the constant control relay module (CCRM) which is located under the air cleaner intake.

Check the cooling fan fuse in fuse box near battery. I think it is a 40amp.

Could also be the relay like pex mentioned
