My mom just bought a 1999 Saturn SC2, does anybody know anything about this car?

if you take care of them you can rack the miles up on them pretty good. They make lots of aftermarket stuff for them. They´re pretty slow actually though.

Well, I was more interested in common problems and what not, just stuff I can tell my Mom to look out for next week while I´m visiting for Christmas.

If it´s an automatic be good to the tranny. Motor mounts have always been a problem. And be ready for the front calipers to go bad. Don´t worry though the mounts and the calipers are cheap. The SC should run like a scalded dog with a 5spd. My folks had a 93 SL1 that had 260,000 miles on it when they got rid of it. It had the sohc motor and not much power but great fuel economy 35-40mpg.

I´ve been told that the body parts after about 5 years start to weaken because of where it is the dent resistent stuff. I was looking at a 2002 but the local dealer wanted to rap me for my trade in! other than that there a great car.

Well, all I kow about the car is what my mom told me, it´s a 99, 5-speed with the third door (standard?), a sunroof with a wind deflector, and a rear spoiler. That´s all I know, and all I will know until I get up there and take a look at it myself.
