This is it guys. I know this has helped on other forums.

This is the thread where you can come in and there will be no specific topic that you must stick to.

Allowed;
Post whore, off topic nonsense.

NOT Allowed;
Insults, bantering, being a jerk, etc.

The word filter STILL APPLIES in here, you will not bypass it.

Have at it, and BE NICE to each other. Hopefully this will help to curb the thread jacking and useless crap that goes on everywhere else.

FR the above photo: Before my reitirement I parked in the Navy Yard in parking garage. I saw a car with stuff piled up like this in the photo above, and figured it was someone in the middle of moving from one apartment to another. But it was there the next days and the next weeks, etc. One day when I went to my car at lunch time, I saw a woman in the driver's seat - asleep. She was a woman, who worked in the same office building that I did. And it seemed she would take naps in her car each day noonish. She also had the reputation of working very long hours; like 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. or later. The group she was in would routinely work 18 hour days during the last 2 weeks every September, accommodating the end of the government fiscal year. year.
When I retired months later, she still had the same stuff piled in her car, halfway up the windows; with just enough room for her to be in the driver's seat.
As this was in the Navy Yard, there was no such things as parking for the general public; in fact the general public could not even get on the base. So she had to be a Navy Civilian employee.
When I asked about her in the office where she worked a senior Navy Officer asked me who I was and why I 'needed to know'. I of course had no such need. He then politely directed me to mind my own business.

I saw a very similar one on a 2nd gen Escort wagon, but just going by in traffic in a town across the river in Mexico. It looked to be made from about a 2 x 8 (the one in the photo looks more like a 2 by 10), and I think the ends were chamfered where they met the wing going forward on the side - also made from a 2 x 8.
