I can do any type of mechanical work I need to do when I need to do it. I've never done any suspension worn and am not familiar with anything about it. My wagon's suspension is worn out and I'm getting tired of it. Will you guys give me suggestions on what to buy and from where? I want to replace every soft part under the car front and rear. Just don't know what any of it is called.
I plan on creating a shopping list from the suggestions I receive here. Thanks.

if you are going to replace the struts, just get loaded assemblies so you don't have to mess with spring compressors.

Damn most everything for under $100. I like that. What struts are the best buy? I would love this car to get close to my wife's same year Audi

KYB/Monroe/Gabriel. Any of the national brands will suffice. Just look for a sale or a discount coupon. Or.....

You can go with the Ebay special.

To try and approximate Audi handling you're going to need some stiffer springs than stock.

If you don't have a 20mm rear sway bar nows the time to do it. If you need one I have one for sale. PM me if you're interested.

The S/R was a rare zx2 version. I heard the original strut manufacturer (Tokico) discontinued the part. So I'm not sure how one is to find them now besides NOS... even that can be iffy as often times if struts sit long enough the nitrogen charge leaks out.

What I've been told is the KYB GR2 is comparable to the s/r tokico.

What coil overs do you have? I have a set of ground controls I still need to install.
